Doug: Creator and Head Author (featured on the right)
Doug, relatively new to the Columbia Heights scene, brings a unique view to the issues facing our nation’s capital. His political views would be described at best as flamingly liberal, which only endears him to friends and enemies alike. After graduating from Appalachian State University and starting a career in non-profits he decided to use The Hay Say as a forum to share his views of the world around him in hopes of one day uniting all people in an America under Hay. While he may have a better chance of seeing hell freeze over, his strides toward improving the human condition and speaking about injustice is nonetheless inspiring.
Kareem: Chief Restaurant Critic and Special Contributor (featured on the left)
Kareem, a man of many colors and taste buds, comes to DC from upstate New York. Being a Howard graduate and lover of all things edible, he has spent many a nights in DC restaurants. Eager to judge anyone or anything he tastes, Kareem is excellent at critiquing plates and people. His love for hearty food, politics and talking about them both makes him a perfect fit for The Hay Say team.
